Rose Blossom Artistry Blog Hop: Introducing Artistry Pt. 2 - Icon(ic) Layers Card (with Design Space file)

Welcome to the Rose Blossom Artistry Blog Hop! Come follow Close To My Heart consultants from the Rose Blossom team as we share our creations using the brand new Artistry cartridge!

If you came here from Kim's amazing blog, you are on the right path. If you get lost along the way, come back here and go to the bottom of the page for the blog hop list.

Icons and Layers

Why Part 2?: I had introduced Artistry in a previous blog post, sharing one of the features I thought you'd love to use (themes!) For the blog hop, I wanted to share another awesome feature - fresh new icons with layers upon layers.

Technique: When I get a new cartridge, I start by flipping through the booklet and creating with the first image that grabs my attention. And I didn't go far - this lovely mason jar bouquet is on on page 2 :) To help me figure out what colors to use on each layer, I went to Design Space.

Design Space File: I used the Zoe collection colors as my starting point, and then I kept changing the colors until I had a combination I liked. Here's the Design Space file for you to use!

Layering: Not only did I use different papers for each of the icon layers, but I also layered up the embellishments and the card base. 3-D Foam Tape is layering's best friend.

Don't Forget the Inside: With my leftover pieces, I made a cute little decoration on the inside of the card.

Now it's time for you to keep moving on the hop!  Head on over to Cathy's lovely blog and see her beautiful artwork!

I can barely handle the cuteness of this. I need to copy this card piece by piece because it's perfection.
