I signed up 6 years ago for one reason - to get that awesome discount so I could craft and not go broke in the process. I planned everything out to build my business and reach my goal. But what I didn't plan on was this - becoming a Close To My Heart consultant made me a better person.
I've never been a shy person - I can talk to just about anyone in any situation. So talking about our products and teaching techniques at workshops and parties was never a problem. Heck, talking to random strangers about Close To My Heart was never a problem.
I may be a talker, but I rarely told people what was truly on my mind. I never reached out for help, and I kept myself pretty isolated. There's a difference between talking and connecting. I rarely let myself connect.
But, scrapbooking is all about telling your story. And creating is a very emotional process. I found myself opening up and really talking to people. I found myself connecting.
Most of my customers have become my friends. They've seen me through good and bad times in my life. They listen to me when I talk, and they comfort me when things aren't going well. In turn, I've made sure to listen and be there for them.
When I was upset, I used to just keep it in, or sometimes let my husband or best friend know what was going on. But recently, when I had a problem, I realized I had so many more people I could go to - and they're all people I met because I became a consultant.
I don't close myself off the way I used to. If something is bothering me, I talk about it instead of holding it inside. And when someone opens up to me, I open up to them (sometimes, I even open up first!)
I think we've all had jobs that made us better at what we do. But how often can you say you've had a job that made you a better person? My Close To My Heart business has helped me grow as a person - and it's the only job I've ever had that's done that.
What can Close To My Heart do for you? If you'd like to start an amazing journey with this company and my team, email me at email@example.com to talk more about it. Or click here to sign up. With only a few days left, you can still take advantage of March's special:
