Kaleidoscope Supplemental Art - Gem Layout

Cascading gems and metallic bling make for a beautiful layout! This layout was created using leftovers from the Kaleidoscope workshop.

If you didn't get the workshop, then all you need is Kaleidoscope paper, Gold & Silver Overlays and either Kaleidoscope Complements or a gorgeous gem stamp set, like Diamonds are Forever. Plus, you can use up your metallic bling!

Here are the directions - you can be exact with my measurements or keep it loose with the general guidelines I provide in parentheses.

Cutting
Pear Cardstock - Layout Base

Stripe Paper - 11.5" x 11.5" (or leave about a quarter of an inch around the paper and the layout base).

Photo Mats (exact measurements below, or leave about an eighth or a quarter inch between each layer):

White cardstock - 5" x 7" and 3.25" x 4.25"
Canary cardstock - 4.75" x 6.75"
Yellow Bokah paper - 4.5" x 6.5"
Green Geometric paper - 4" x 5"
Purple Plus paper - 3.5" x 4.5"

Photos - 3" x 4" (3) or one 3" x 4" and one 4" x 6" (or cut to fit the photo mats)

Put It Together
Stamping: Using Pacifica, Pear, Canary, Gypsy, Sunset and Pixie ink (or any bold, bright colors), stamp and cut a variety of gems. Layer the gems with Foam Tape. You can also substitute stamping with the Kaleidoscope Complements.

Embellishments: Use Gold & Silver Overlays along with any metallic bling you have on hand - I used Silver Foil Tape and Silver Sequins.

Title and Journaling: I created my title using Pear cardstock and Cricut cuts (you can use stickers, stamping, or anything else). I wrote my journaling on White cardstock and then cut it into strips.
