Urban Supplemental Art - Fun and Simple Layout

The Urban papers have such dimension and texture that making a quick and simple layout with them is very easy! This layout was created using leftovers from my Urban workshop. If you didn't get the workshop, then all you need is Urban paper and Complements, Whisper Twine and Blue Enamel Dots.

Here are the directions - you can be exact with my measurements or keep it loose with the general guidelines I provide in parentheses.

Cutting
Yellow Crackle Paper - Layout Base

Splatter Paper - 4" x 12" (or cover about a third of the left side)

Peacock Cardstock - 7" x 10" (or leave about a half inch around your photos) and 0.5" x 12" (or add a thin strip between the Crackle and Splatter papers)

Whisper Cardstock - 3.5" x 3.5" (or leave about a quarter inch around your photo)

Photos - 3" x 3" and two 4" x 6" (or cut to fit the photo mats)

Put It Together
Distressing: Using Saddle ink (or any brown ink), ink edge/sponge the edges of all paper and photos.

Embellishments: Place Complements on layout, adhering some directly to the page and pop-dotting others for dimension. Add Whisper Twine between your large photos, either by using Glue Dots or a mini-stapler, and tie a knot in the center. Add Blue Enamel Dots as desired.

Title: I created my title using Peakcock and Whisper cardstock and Wood Grain Paper. The font is from the Artistry cartridge. I also tied a knot of Whisper Twine around one of my title letters.
