These 3 x 3 cards look adorable with the Animal Greetings stamp set, and the images were so much fun to color! These cards were created using leftovers from my Regatta workshop. If you didn't get the workshop, then all you need is Regatta paper and Red Enamel Gems.
Here are the directions - you can be exact with my measurements or keep it loose with the general guidelines I provide in parentheses.
White Card Base - 3" x 6" (or use any small card base)
Pattern Background - 2.75" x 2.75" (or leave about an eight of an inch between the pattern paper and the card base)
Flaxen Square - 2.25" x 2.25" (or leave about a quarter of an inch between the Flaxen square and pattern paper)
White Square - 2" x 2" (or leave about an eight of an inch between the Flaxen Square and White Square)
Put It Together
Stamping - Make sure to use Black Archival Ink for stamping the images and sentiments to prevent smearing.
Coloring - You can use any sort of coloring method with this stamp set, including alcohol markers, watercolor pencils or watercolors. I used watercolors to color in the images and add subtle backgrounds.
Embellishments - Add Red Enamel Gems as desired. Try using 3-D Foam Tape with the White Square - coloring the image can wrinkle the paper a little, and Foam Tape helps make it look purposeful and dimensional.
