Fun With Color - Stencil Cards

Let's have fun with color! The new colors in the Adventure palette are so bright and fun that I wanted to show you some ways you can create with them. First stop - stencils!

Stencil How-To: For these cards, I did a tone-on-tone look (I used Tangerine cardstock with Tangerine ink for the top card and Raspberry cardstock with Raspberry ink for the bottom card).

1. Tape your cardstock down with removable tape (i.e. washi tape).
2. Place the stencil over the cardstock and tape it down.
3. Ink up your sponge and gently circle it on the stencil. You can add more ink to make it darker, or even darken some areas while keeping others light.

Stencil Ideas: There are plenty of stencils out there that you can purchase, but don't forget that die cuts can work just as well! The top card was made using an image from the Artbooking cartridge.

Fun Tip: Adding a stenciled image onto cardstock creates such a beautiful base that you don't need to much else to decorate your card - just a quick sentiment and a few embellishments. This is a great way to create a lot of cards for many different occasions!
